"Soundtracks for an empty apartment" è il mio primo EP, la mia prima creatura nata sotto lo pseudonimo di Philip Buronji.

L’EP è un piccolo concept album che va ascoltato tutto d’un fiato, rigorosamente in cuffia o su impianto audio per poter percepire ogni suono ed ogni variazione stereofonica. Quattro tracce, quattro stanze che riverberano presenze svanite e vite vissute.
Tra 4 ipotetiche mura si incontrano musica elettronica, ambient, musica concreta e leggeri accenni di psichedelia.
Ho fortemente voluto che le melodie fossero esportate in 432 Hz, per potervi donare un’esperienza d’ascolto non convenzionale e più accomodante.
Nelle prime bozze della copertina avevo immaginato la presenza dell'immagine di una planimetria fittizia di una casa mai esistita che restituisse l'idea di uno spazio abitativo ipotetico, ma in procinto di realizzarsi.
Proseguendo con gli schizzi e le bozze, ho lasciato spazio all'idea più concreta di una immagine realistica di una casa che risultasse svuotata dalla presenza umana e, allo stesso tempo, riempita di un flusso statico ma vivo. Ho così individuato l'elemento "sabbia" come presenza figurativa: mai uguale a se stessa, nelle sue composizioni create dal vento, e simbolo del tempo che passa, nelle clessidre.

Il mio "appartamento abbandonato" è nato così, spoglio di ogni arredo, splendente di luce solare ma invaso da tonnellate di sabbia. I confini della casa si spezzano, lasciando al tempo e allo spazio di modificarsi e assumere sempre forme diverse: la metafora della vita in casa.

"Soundtracks for an empty apartment" is my first EP, my first creature born under the pseudonym Philip Buronji.

The EP is a small concept album that must be listened to all in one breath, strictly on headphones or on a sound system in order to perceive every sound and every stereophonic variation. Four tracks, four rooms that reverberate vanished presences and experienced lives.
Within 4 hypothetical walls, electronic, ambient, concrete music and slight hints of psychedelia meet.
I strongly wanted the melodies to be exported in 432 Hz in order to give you an unconventional and more accommodating listening experience.
In the first drafts of the cover, I had imagined the presence of the image of a fictitious floor plan of a house that never existed, giving back the idea of a hypothetical living space, but in the process of being realized.
Continuing with the sketches and drafts, I gave way to the more concrete idea of a realistic image of a house that would be emptied of human presence and, at the same time, filled with a static but living flow. Thus, I identified the element "sand" as a figurative presence: never equal to itself, in its compositions created by the wind, and a symbol of passing time, in hourglasses.
My "abandoned apartment" was born this way, bare of all furnishings, shining with sunlight but invaded by tons of sand. The boundaries of the house are broken, leaving time and space to change and take on different shapes all the time: the metaphor of life at home.
